Worst kind of dinner

Last night ktula suggested Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza for dinner. Where I had the most terrible food in a very long time.

To be fair, I’m not a pizza fan. If I have to, I like my pizza thin crust. ktula mistakenly ordered the thick crust pizza. In addition to that, we ordered a 10-piece garlic wings. The wings looked like they were swimming in oil before sending to our table. Despite my cluttered up blood vessels, the taste was acceptable.

Moments later, the pizza was served. We ordered a garlic chicken pizza. However I couldn’t see traces or identify objects resemblance of chicken on the pizza. The crust was soggy from god knows what. A thick layer of what appeared to be cheese smothered on top. The only reason I guessed it was based on the substance’s unnatural yellow color. The smell of gourmet cooking was completely absent. This steamy pile of sadness made me wish I were having McDonald’s chicken nuggets or KFC’s fried chickens. They are bad for me but at least taste good.

No reason to describe the pizza’s taste as it was as bad as it looked. I chose to stick with grease dripping wings.

Most of my friends know I’m a bit of a picky eater. Now that I’m over the age to be able to binge like a garbage can, my philosophy at eating has become to eat only things I like and nothing else. People gave me craps about not eating this and that. But when I gave in like last night’s dinner. I broke my rules of thumb and now feeling gross and bloated even more than 12 hours later. I work hard to keep myself healthy. I regretted last night I didn’t stand firmly on my grounds.

Yes, eat only things that you like (not necessarily healthier) and nothing else.

    Ok…. I think I just stated that.
The point I’m making is not I consume only healthy food. Some of my favorite snacks are chocolates and high sugar candies. But certain food I just plainly don’t like. And they happen to also be not so health conscious.

    Dear BlaringSmelly/Administrator:

I’m the Director of Local Marketing at Garlic Jim’s and I was very disappointed to hear of your bad experience at one of our stores last night. Our goal is to exceed our customers’ expectations in both service and food quality and we obviously failed in both last night.

I’d love to send you a gift certificate for a free large specialty pizza so you can give us another try. I personally recommend the Nutty Chipotle pizza on thin crust - the thin crust contains garlic and the addition of cashews on the pizza gives a very nice flavor.

Please forward your address so I can send the gift certificate.

    Best regards,

Hi there my name is Ryan and I own the GJ’s in West Seattle. I’m really bummed that you had such a horrible experience. We have had great success in West Seattle and a ton of repeat business. I would like to invite you back to try a different menu item that you might enjoy. Please contact me on my cell at (number removed) to arrange a time to come on up and meet me, get a tour of the kitchen (where you will see we use fresh high-end ingredients), meet the rest of the staff, and take a look at any other part of our operation. We are an open book in West Seattle. Dinner will of course be on me.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ross and Ryan,

I am quite impressed with Garlic Jim’s quick response to my post. I think that translates to the restaurant’s willingness to listen. It is very kind of you to offer a restaurant kitchen tour and gift certificate for another meal. I appreciate the gesture but it won’t be necessary. I assure you in times we’ll return to try out Garlic Jim’s Nutty Chipotle thin crust pizza.

    Cheers.
